team development
"The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed."
Carl Jung
The effectiveness of a team depends on the relationships among team members - how they communicate, prioritise work and make decisions. This is increasingly important as teams become less hierarchical and more cross-functional.
Working with individuals and then with the wider team, the team-development programme assesses quality of interaction among team members.
Based on individual personality-profiling, it looks at how individuals can maximise the strengths of a team by understanding their preferred style of behaving and how they function best in a group setting.
The team-development programme looks at the following:
- identifying individual strengths and weaknesses
- valuing others
- improving communication
- clarifying team behaviour
- dealing with conflict
By gaining this understanding, working relationships and the productivity and contribution of a team are enhanced.
